MARRIAGE REDESIGNED WITH LISA LIMEHOUSE
Hope and Healing for Christian Couples After Marital Betrayal

Has infidelity, pornography, sexual addiction, or broken trust left you wondering whether your heart—and your marriage—will ever feel whole again? Are you searching for a clear path forward but determined to heal and rebuild your marriage God’s way?

You’re in the right place.

Welcome to Marriage Redesigned with Lisa Limehouse, formerly the Beauty Beyond Betrayal podcast.

This Christian marriage podcast is for couples navigating the heartbreak and uncertainty of marital betrayal. Whether you are the betrayed spouse trying to make sense of what happened or the unfaithful spouse ready to take responsibility and become a safe partner, you will find biblical guidance, honest conversations, trauma-informed teaching, and practical tools to help you move forward.

Together, we will talk about what it takes to:

• Heal from betrayal trauma
• End destructive patterns and create emotional safety
• Recover from infidelity, pornography, and sexual addiction
• Rebuild trust through honesty, ownership, and consistency
• Navigate triggers, shame, anger, and difficult conversations
• Restore emotional, spiritual, and physical intimacy
• Redesign your marriage with God at the center

I’m Lisa Limehouse—a betrayal trauma and infidelity recovery specialist, wife, mom, “Gigi” to five really rockin’ grands, and a woman who knows this pain personally.

When I married my knight in shining armor, I believed we were living our storybook love story. From the outside, we looked like the couple who had it all together.

Then betrayal entered our marriage, and everything I thought I knew came crashing down.

My heart, my confidence, and my sense of safety shattered. I found myself asking the same questions so many betrayed spouses ask:

“How could this happen?”
“Was any of our marriage real?”
“Will I ever be able to trust again?”
“Can God heal something this broken?”
“Is saving our marriage even possible?”

I felt lost, humiliated, overwhelmed, and completely unsure of what to do next. I didn’t need another person telling me to simply forgive, pray harder, or move on. I needed truth. I needed safety. I needed a plan.

And eventually, I learned that healing a marriage requires more than keeping two people together.

It requires truth before trust.
Safety before intimacy.
Healing before rebuilding.
Character before comfort.
And heart transformation that only God can bring.

Our journey from devastation to restoration was not quick or easy. There were moments when God held my hand and others when He carried me completely. But He met us in the wreckage, began healing each of us individually, and taught us how to build a marriage that was healthier, safer, and more honest than the one we had before.

That is why I created Marriage Redesigned.

My mission is to help Christian couples heal from betrayal, rebuild trust, restore connection, and create a marriage rooted in biblical truth and lasting transformation. Because God heals people—and healed people can rebuild marriages.

If you are ready to move beyond merely surviving the discovery and begin taking honest, intentional steps toward healing and restoration, this podcast is for you.

So grab your favorite latte, maybe a glass of wine, snuggle up with your favorite blanket, and take a deep breath.

Right now, we’re going to focus on your healing, your marriage, and the hope still ahead.

Your story does not have to end here.

Your marriage can be redesigned.

Let’s do this.

Why does shame keep you trapped in pornography, affairs, or other sexually destructive behaviors—even when you genuinely want to change?
Shame does not simply make you feel bad about what you have done. It can activate the brain’s stress response, increase the urge to escape, and drive you back toward the very behavior you promised yourself, your spouse, and God you would stop. This creates a painful cycle: shame produces emotional distress, sexual behavior offers temporary relief, and the secrecy and damage that follow create even more shame.
In this episode of Marriage Redesigned with Lisa Limehouse, formerly the Beauty Beyond Betrayal podcast, Lisa explains:
The critical difference between healthy guilt and destructive shame
How the shame–cortisol–escape cycle reinforces compulsive sexual behavior
Why pornography and affairs can become forms of emotional escape
How secrecy protects addiction and prevents genuine healing
The difference between biblical conviction and condemnation
Three practical, Christ-centered steps you can take toward freedom today
Freedom from shame does not mean avoiding responsibility. It means learning to face the truth, accept accountability, and step into the light without believing that your worst decisions have become your permanent identity.

How can a man love his wife, care for his family, attend church—and still maintain an affair, watch pornography, or live a secret sexual life? In this episode, Lisa explains why some men compartmentalize infidelity and sexual sin, how the brain separates conflicting identities, and why understanding this behavior does not excuse betrayal.
You’ll discover how shame, emotional avoidance, cognitive dissonance, moral disengagement, and the brain’s reward system can help sustain a double life. Lisa also shares five biblical and practical ways the unfaithful spouse can stop compartmentalizing, embrace genuine repentance, rebuild integrity, and begin creating safety after betrayal.
